Minutes of Management Meeting held at Glan Llyn Bach on 7th October 2008

Action

1.      Apologies: Maggie Jarman, Joyce Kerslake, Pauline Vella, David Walley, Phil Fowlie, John Morrison, Rhian Hughes.

 

2.      Minutes of last meeting: Proposed Pip Chinnery – seconded Brett Parsons

 

3.      Projects :

 

·         Brochure: Now printed and 11000 copies are available.  The first small tranche will be 250 to Menai Cottages, 100 to Wylfa, 250 to the ferry port and 200 to Trac Môn.

 

·         Maelog Lake: – Pip and Brett outlined their findings around the lake and are to produce a report on our recommendations.  Derek to email Rosie Frankland on the maintenance of the boardwalk.

 

·         Boatpool outlook – Letter received from Community Council confirming that this land is now registered as community land and that they wish us to progress the plans that were obtained by Rhosneigr Limited for the improvements for submission to them.

 

·         High Street Brett to progress the brackets and to suggest to businesses that a donation in the order of £20 would be appropriate – for this we would buy the tree and lights – the lights should be white and at least 100 per tree.  Derek asked that we should pursue any contacts that we have to provide/donate lights or trees

 

·         Rhosneigr History – We will hold a joint event next Spring with Rhosneigr School.

 

4.      Christmas arrangements – It was agreed ask the Village Hall Committee to have a joint Christmas Carol Service – Derek to write to them to that effect.  A date of Friday 19th December in the Village Hall was suggested and agreed.

 

5.      Newsletter – The Autumn newsletter has been distributed.  The Christmas Newsletter needs to be out for the end of November – we must keep to strict time schedules with this one.

 

6.      Future Plans – No new plans at this time.

 

7.      AOB – Bill said his daughter was interested in joining the committee – all agreed that she would be very welcome.
