Minutes of Management Meeting held at Glan Llyn Bach on 18th  March 2008

Action

1.      Apologies: Joyce Kerslake, Rhian Price, Jackie Lewis, Maggie Jarman, David Walley, Alison Robinson.

 

2.      Minutes of last meeting: Proposed Pip Chinnery – seconded Brett Parsons.

 

3.      Projects :

 

·         Maelog Lake  Work continuing. Quote for approx £4000 received for a garden area around the start of the boardwalk, although £2500 of this is for soil.  It was considered that we should be able to obtain soil locally at no charge.  Derek to write to B&Q for grant of £500 for plants.

John stated that the Community Council could take responsibility for the maintenance of the new viewing area at the end of the boardwalk , keeping the reeds clear in the defined area.

 

·         Leaflet – The meeting considered the proposals for the leaflet and decided an A2 size would be appropriate with a map of the area showing the walk round the lake.

 

·         Boatpool outlook – no further progress.

 

·         High Street Quote received for the brackets for the high Street Mentor Môn have agreed to pay this. The Village Hall Commitee have declined our offer to arrange the street festival to coincide with the opening of the new village hall.

4.      Web Site – Derek in process of design and uploading of the new web site.

 

5.      Newsletter – To be agreed with David.

 

6.      Future Plans –John Morrison brought a video of the Rhosneigr Festival from 1953.  Derek to put this on the web site. We could also incorporate this as part of the project to cover the history of Rhosneigr.

 

7.      AOB – There was no other business.
