Action |
·
Maelog
Lake - Written approval has been received from CCW
and work is to commence in about 3 weeks time. A suggestion has been made to locate a bird
hide along the banks of the lake and this will be investigated – funding
should be available for this. Brett to ask one of the landowners if they
would be prepared to have it sited on their land. The meeting felt that we should
improve the area around the car park and the new start of the boardwalk ·
Leaflet – We need to have the brochure
ready for the end of February – Alison to chase advertisers and arrange a
meeting with the designers. · Boatpool outlook – No further progress ·
High
Street – a
quotation has been received for the manufacture of brackets for the premises
along the High Street and this has been passed to Mentor Mon for possible
funding. |

6. Web Site/Domain name – Derek advised
the meeting that one of the names he had suggested for the group ie
Rhosneigr.org had now been registered by another party for their own use and
they were approaching businesses in the village to advertise on their
site. It is paramount that we register
a name very soon and get the new web site running. The meeting agreed to register
Rhosneigr-on-line.co.uk 7. Newsletter – David agreed to continue to
produce the newsletter. Derek
suggested that we should issue one soon outlining the setup of the new group
(Project Rhosneigr) and advising of the new web site and the need to use the
shopping link wherever possible. Also
we need to hand deliver this newsletter to ensure full coverage of the
village. 8. Future Plans – We
should be looking at the history of Rhosneigr and how we can incorporate it
into the web site. The
beach needs to be kept clean and we will have to get volunteers for
this. Jackie to provide the phone
number of someone at the council who is responsible for the beaches. The
Heritage Trail is to go ahead and this should increase the number of people
who walk the area. Jackie
advised that the walking festival will be launched on 24th May at
Plas Newydd which will be open to the public and free on that day. Celebrities with a local connection are
being approached for the festival. 9. AOB: David suggested that the constitution
should state that: “we are a non profit organisation”. This was agreed. There
was no other business. 10. Date of Next Meeting
